Peren, April 9 (DIPR): Meeting on National Electoral Roll Purification 2016 was held at Peren, at DC’s Conference Hall on April 6 with Peter Lichamo Deputy Commissioner Peren chairing the meeting.
In the keynote address, the chairman impressed upon the gathering to go according to the guidelines of ECI to avoid further confusion and problems in the near future. He also voiced concerned about the eleven hour rush and requested the gathering to inform the voters to correct the EPIC and insisted that a cent per cent EPIC should be availed. This is all about clean electoral and electoral roll purification, he added.
S. Taniu ADC (Hq) also stated that this National Electoral Roll Purification 2016 is a sensitive issue and should be taken seriously by all concerned for the benefit of all.
Nathan Konyak AEO, Peren explained the technicalities involved for removal of electoral roll, correction of errors in the electoral roll, improvement of poor quality picture, responsibilities of a boot level volunteers (BLV), boot level assistance (BLA) etc. The meeting was attended by administrative officers, NGOs’ etc.
