Dimapur, May 11 (MExN): Ecclesia Theological College and Seminary (ETCS) held its 21st graduation ceremony on May 8, 2025, at the Kim Jin Won Chapel in Dimapur, celebrating academic achievement, spiritual formation, and a major institutional milestone—the accreditation of its Master of Divinity program by the Asia Theological Association.

The graduation ceremony drew a gathering of church leaders, well-wishers, and family members to honor the graduating class of 2024–2025. Degrees were conferred in Bachelor of Theology and Master of Divinity for students who had demonstrated both academic excellence and spiritual maturity.

In his address, ETCS Founder and Principal Rev. Dr. Vikheshe Chishi expressed pride in the graduates and gratitude for the newly granted accreditation. “You have studied not for the sake of knowledge alone but to serve, to teach, and to lead with wisdom and compassion in a complex world,” he said, urging the graduates to use their training as a foundation for transformational ministry.

Guest speaker Pastor Benjamin Sumi of Dimapur Sumi Baptist Church delivered a message on the theme “The Labourers Are Few,” emphasizing that God seeks committed workers with integrity, not those who merely imitate faith. “One committed person is more valuable than a hundred interested theologians,” he told the graduates, reminding them that ministry is a calling, not a career option.

Among the honors presented were the Academic Excellence Award to Vicky Gurung (Master of Divinity) and Jemima Achumi (Bachelor of Theology), Best Disciple to Daniel Engti, the Resilience Award to Thang Shing Om, Christian Leadership Award to Lakhum, Kumsola, Kuputoli, and Daniel, Best in Preaching to Gurung, and Best Chapel and Devotion Attendance to several students.

Graduates Gurung and Achumi shared reflections during the program, describing their journey at ETCS as one that shaped both their minds and hearts. “We are leaving with clarity, hope, and vision,” they said.

The ceremony ended with a prayer of commissioning led by Rev. Dr. Chishi, sending off the graduates to serve in various ministry fields.
