
DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 13 (MExN): The president of the Educated Unemployed Union Nagaland (EUUN) sounded an SOS and called for an emergency executive meeting on account of the frequent absenteeism of the executives in its meeting. The president, Achilo Thong said that the emergency meeting on the December 8 last had been adjourned due to the absence of a majority. He let on that he has been facing much hardship to further carry out the union’s activities due to the frequent or successive absenteeism of some office bearers in the executive meeting. Achilo laments that their non-cooperation has resulted in negligence of responsibilities, gap of communication ad propaganda.
Pointing out that the founding members of the union had formed the union with a vision for the future generation, the president says that EUUN has an important role to play but he laments that this act of omission amounts to delay or denial of justice to the people.
In this backdrop, Achilo appeals to all the office bearers, executives, former presidents and advisors, to attend the emergency executive meeting on December 20, 2007 at 11 AM at Hotel Japhu, Kohima, without fail, inorder to take some concrete decision in the interest of the people. The president also informs that honorarium will be paid to each member present depending on the position of the funds.
Meanwhile in a separate release, the Educated Unemployed Union Nagaland (EUUN) informed that P. Inaho (nominee, state legal service authority) Advisor of the EUUN, has been entrusted to raise fund on behalf of the union to meet the expenses for various activities of the union.
