Education Minister visit Sao Chang College

Tuensang, August 16 (MExN): Minister for Higher & Technical Education and Tribal Affairs, Temjen Imna Along visited Sao Chang College (SCC), Tuensang on August 14 accompanied by Imnatiba, Advisor of Industries & Commerce, Labour and Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, various government officials, NGOs and students’ organizations.
A press release issued by Media Cell, SCC stated that during the visit, a brief programme was organized in the college auditorium.
The Minister in his address appreciated the college for introducing traditional dresses every Wednesdays in SCC. “We need to promote and preserve our rich culture and traditions and live a cultured life. Anyone who loses one’s culture and traditions will lost everything hence urged the young students to identify the best practices and values of the various cultural uniqueness in the district and promote better relations and respect amongst the communities,” he said.
The Minister stated that “We should be wise enough to inculcate all the best possible things and become like a fruits bearing trees.” He further said that all of us need to acquire the habit of giving not only the habit of receiving. He appealed to everyone to contribute for the progress of the college.
The Minister assured of all possible help and support to the college. Minister also requested students, teachers and non-teaching staffs to plant fruit trees within the college campus. He also visited classrooms, library, and science laboratory. The Minister contributed his one month’s salary to the college during his visit.
