Educational administrators attend training in Kohima

Kohima, February 14 (MExN): The State Institute of Educational Management & Training (SIEMAT), in collaboration with the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), New Delhi, organised a five-day training session on educational management and administration for educational administrators at SIEMAT, SCERT Kohima from February 6 to 10. 

Kevirale-ü Kerhuo, Director of SCERT, extended a welcome to all participants and expressed gratitude for their attendance at the training programme, a DIPR report stated. She emphasised the role of educational administrators in shaping the future of countless individuals and the overall landscape of school education. 

She highlighted the initiation of various educational programmes and missions by both the Centre and the State, stressing that Educational Administrators at the district level serve as the administrative heads of their respective areas. She underscored that any program or policy related to the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 would be disseminated under their leadership.

The training witnessed the participation of 24 educational managers and functionaries from the Directorate of School Education (DOSE), District Education Officers (DEOs) from all districts, and officials from SCERT.

School Leadership Prog held
Meanwhile, the School Leadership Academy at SCERT conducted a 16-day School Leadership Programme for School Heads of Government Middle Schools (GMS) and Government Primary Schools (GPS) in Kohima District from January 29 to February 12. 

Aligned with guidelines provided by the National Centre for School Leadership (NCSL), NIEPA, New Delhi, the training spanned 16 days and aimed to enhance leadership skills among school heads.

Thirty-one School Heads of GMS and GPS completed the certificate course on School Leadership Programme.

The resource persons included core members of the School Leadership Academy, SCERT, comprising personnel from SCERT, District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs), and the Directorate of School Education.
