Dimapur, May 9 (MExN): After successfully conducting two days of Educational Fair in Kohima which was attended by 1157 students, the Fair has now moved to Hotel Acacia, Dimapur to give the opportunity to students and parents of Dimapur town.
The fair organized by EduCentre in partnership with YouthNet and under the IMPACT 5000 by 18 program which a partnership with the Government of Nagaland and Runway began at Hotel Acacia, Dimapur.
According to a press release issued by YouthNet, the fair has attracted some of the top reputed, accredited colleges and universities from across the country and abroad. The fair presents a unique opportunity for students and parents to directly meet institutions offering different courses and get information about the career opportunities in the courses offered like engineering, Law, hotel management, arts, commerce, sports, medicine, dentistry, physiotherapy, management, commerce and IT or new age courses like animation, design, fashion, hospital management, digital marketing and more.
The Director of YouthNet, Lezo Putsure in his welcome note addressed the need of creating platforms for colleges/universities to interact with students. He mentioned, “Very often students are confused what to study and where to go. On the other hand parents incur huge expenses, time and running pillar to post travelling to cities for admissions.”
“The universities have come to our doorstep. Theses universities offer various options of courses to choose from interest, preferred city of study, diverse environment of students, budget, scholarships and study post placement even in the U.S and in Europe and its gives our students an opportunity to choose. The targeted groups are the outgoing students of classes 10+2 and Bachelors,” the Director informed.
Some top universities at the fair include Manav Rachna University, Parul University, Dev Bhoomi group of institutions. The fair will conclude on May 10.
