Eight rural development projects connect Nerhema village

Kohima | January 18

Eight projects under Rural Development department have been connected today to Nerhema village under Kohima district.

Under MGNREGA, the projects of drainage, approach road improvement, footstep/footpath, oak tree plantation and retaining wall under improvement of road have been dedicated this morning.

Incineration dustbin and improvement of the village road have been done under 15th Finance Commission.

Repairing of the village Panchayat Hall has also been sanctioned under Grant-in- Aid.

Such projects have been inaugurated by Seyiekhrielie Rio, Block Development Officer (BDO) Chiephobozou RD Block.
Speaking on the occasion, Rio was appreciative of the prevailing peaceful atmosphere and unity amongst the village leaders, which contributed towards effective implementation of the projects. He called upon the villagers to continue to exercise a sense of one oneness and better understanding and cooperate with the government to avail further developmental packages.

 Stick to framework of permissible/non permissible works

The BDO also called upon the village authority to strictly follow the guidelines of the Ministry and stick to the framework of permissible and non permissible works under MGNREGA.

Apart from agri & allied activities, he also urged upon the villagers to give importance towards sanitation system.

Further, Rio called upon the villagers to get their NREGA job card link with Aadhar as per Ministry’s guideline.
Earlier, Nerhema VDB secretary Vilhousielie Kengurüse presented the project report.

The programme was chaired by Nerhema village council chairman Vingutuo Rutsa while vote of thanks as proposed by Nerhema head GB Rüünyü Kengurüse.

Rev. Vilanyü Usou, pastor, Nerhema Baptist Church and Vikhozolie Rülho, Catechist, St. Joseph’s Church Nerhema prayed for the programme.
