Tuensang, March 16 (MExN): The Elder Line (National Helpline for Senior Citizens) was launched in Tuensang on March 16, stated a DIPR report. It was launched during District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting held at DC's conference hall, Tuensang under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman, Tuensang DPDB, Kumar Ramnikant, IAS.

During the meeting, the helpline was launched by Programme Manager, Elder Line Nagaland, Neithonuo Liegise. She highlighted on the activities of the helpline and its objectives for complaints and grievance of the senior citizens.

The house discussed on the following and forwarded to the concerned higher ups for necessary consideration: up-gradation of Noksen Primary Health Centre (PHC) to Community Health Centre (CHC); opening of new school at Sangsomong Village located under Longkhim area and up-gradation of GHS Hakushang to GHSS. 

During the meeting, PHED Chemist, N Sangtam presented the departmental activities and programmes. DFO, Tuensang has been entrusted to present the departmental activities in the next DPDB meeting.
