Kohima, April 1 (MExN): An election rally was held for DAN consensus candidate for Lok Sabha polls at Longkhim today.
In the rally, Imtilemba Sangtam described DAN consensus candidate Neiphiu Rio, chief minister as “dynamic regional leader” from the entire north east.
He claimed that out of his love for Nagaland, he (Rio) sacrificed his prestigious chief minister post with various issues like early settlement of Naga political issue, peace and development.

Yanghose Sangtam, vice president BJP Nagaland also spoke in the rally. He stated that BJP is not a communal party. “It is only Congress’ poisonous propaganda which Congress has no issue to counter BJP party.”
He also asserted that voters of the country totally rejected the Congress party because of “corruption after corruption, scandal after scandal, sky rocking price rise.”
Further, informing that Rio is a party to BJP led NDA pre-poll alliance, Yanghose appealed to the voters of 52 A/C Longkhim- Chare to vote for Rio for ushering peace and economic development.
The rally was attended by all village Head GBs, village council chairmen and NCP state team led by general secretary (administration).
