ENGOU, Kiphire demands apology for contradictory release

KIPHIRE, SEPTEMBER 24 (MExN): Retaliating to ENGOA’s support of the NH-155 take over, the Eastern Nagaland Government Officers’ Union of Kiphire district has demanded apology from the president and general secretary of the Association.  The union in a joint press release by its members stated that there had been no open discussion on the matter amongst the ENGOA members and added that if the duo had felt that the take-over was for the progress and prosperity of the people, this view should have been shared and discussed openly and diplomatically.

The union stated that the Association had been formed to impart awareness, guide the ignorant public and also to co-operate with the ENPO and other organizations of the four districts for achieving a common goal. Therefore it demanded to know as on what moral obligations had the president and the general secretary of ENGOA gone against their own public opinion with contradictory statement supporting the taken-over and hurt the sentiments of the general public. In this light, the ENGOU of Kiphire unit has asked the two officials of ENGOA to tender an apology to the general public for the contradictory press release.
