ENPO demands clarification from R Khing

Tuensang, July 21 (MExN): The Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organization (ENPO) representing the entire people of Eastern Nagaland has sought “clarification and intention” from R Khing, Advisor, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services and Women Resources Development, Nagaland on the statement “consciously written” by him and addressed to the Commissioner, Nagaland on May 29, 2018 stating that “one government servant from ADC office, Tseminyu who had been found to be indulged in partisan politics during recent election be transferred and posted to some administrative place in ENPO area.”

A press statement from ENPO Media Cell lamented, “Apparently, Khing has exposed the practices and mindset of the state political leaders irrespective of any parties that ENPO area is a dumping ground for political opponents.”

Maintaining that if any government servant is found guilty, he or she should be dealt as per the law, ENPO wondered “why an important man in his figure indulged in cheap theatrics of transferring government employees to ENPO area as ‘punishment’.”

In this regard, the ENPO demanded a “clear public clarification and intention” from the Advisor within two days from the date of publication of this statement.

ENPO comprises of six tribes, namely Chang, Khiamniungan, Konyak, Phom, Sangtam and Yimchunger.
