The three-day Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) concluded at the Deputy Commissioner's conference hall, Zunheboto, bringing together 19 entrepreneurs. Held from February 26 to 28, the programme was organised by Swavalamban Connect Kendras (SCK) in collaboration with the District Administration and various line departments.

The first day focused on critical financial aspects, with sessions delivered by a representative from the Nagaland State Cooperative Bank, Zunheboto. Topics covered included working capital management, understanding CIBIL scores, maintaining loan accounts, cash credit loans, and term loans. The bank also introduced various banking services and schemes tailored specifically for entrepreneurs.

On the second day, N Toky Chishi, General Manager, District Industries Centre (DIC) Zunheboto, provided insights on government schemes, subsidies, and incentives available to entrepreneurs. He covered topics such as the role of the DIC, business registration, and licensing procedures, as well as the support mechanisms available for small-scale industries and startups. The session also included guidance on marketing and export promotion for local businesses, as well as the process of securing financial assistance and credit linkage through the DIC.

Tavinto Chishi, President, Green Club Zunheboto and a representative from local NGOs, shared his personal experiences and the organization's role in supporting budding entrepreneurs.

The final day featured a session with Tokavi K Zhimo, Managing Director, TechEon One Stop Solution, and journalist. Tokavi shared his personal entrepreneurial journey, emphasising best practices and the challenges faced in building the business. His insights provided the participants with a real-world perspective on entrepreneurship, motivating them to overcome obstacles and adopt successful strategies in their own ventures. He stressed that the main reason for the high unemployment rate in our state is due to laziness, and emphasized that problems and stress are part of life.

He further encouraged the trainees to be innovative and creative by having proper planning, vision, and thinking outside the box with proper market research. Failure is also part of the journey, and we should have a broad mindset and willingness to fail and restart whenever necessary. Without trying, we gain nothing, and staying idle is of no use.

Tsoinchu Sangtam, EAC Zunheboto also emphasised on the District Administration support towards the Entrepreneurs.
