Youth orientation prog held in Kohima
Kohima, February 7 (MExN): A youth orientation programme on ‘Atma Nirbhar Bharat’ was organized by Keze Society, Kohima, sponsored by the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS), Kohima at Modern Institute of Teacher Education, Kohima on February 7.
In a brief introduction about NYKS, John Makhabo, Director in-charge, NYKS, Kohima highlighted the contributions of NYKS and encouraged the participants to start small scale industries within Nagaland. He also mentioned that entrepreneurship will solve the problem of unemployment.
Speaking on ‘entrepreneurship,’ the resource person, Dr Velankanni Alex, Assistant Professor said, “Practical experience is very important to get success in the business” and added that skills are needed for successful entrepreneurs. He also pointed out the different types of entrepreneurship and its steps and also suggested that “proper plan, finance and the legal environment are very important for protecting the business.”
The resource person also interacted with the students and asked them to perform a trial demonstration of a good business by dividing into groups.
