Dimapur, October 3 (MExN): The Sumi Hoho takes note of what was stated as the anti-people action of the outfit NSCN-IM in eviction of Inavi villagers. The Hoho strongly reminded the NSCN-IM that even its chairman Isak Swu had on September 22 last, had placed the issue of Inavi village on the Government of Nagaland.
“The Sumi Hoho is convinced that something has definitely gone wrong in decision-making on the issue because the honorable chairman Ino Isak Chishi had asserted on 22/09/07 that the problem of Inavi village would be left to the Nagaland state government for their own action” the Hoho pointed out in a note issued through its president HS Rotokha.
“Then how come this anti-people actions? The action so taken is not at all justified” the Hoho reminded. The Sumi Hoho, in this regard, has affirmed to stand firmly with the step taken by the Western Sumi Hoho and like-minded organizations, supporters and sympathizers of Inavi villagers. This should be treated as Nagas’ common problem, it added. The apex Sumi tribal organization was also of the opinion that Inavi village was “jointly established by various Naga tribes under the name and style of Inavi.”
While expressing solidarity with the villagers, the Sumi Hoho has also appealed for relief especially for women and children of the said village.
