Exam underway peacefully

Mokokchung, February 11 (DIPR): Higher Secondary School Leaving certificate examination 2011 being conducted by the Nagaland Board of School Education has begun on February 9 in Mokokchung district peacefully. A total of 609 candidates in three streams i.e. Arts, Commerce and Science are appearing the examinations in three examination centers of Mokok-A, Mokok-B and Tuli. Besides, there are 169 candidates who are appearing the HSSLC examination in Old course.
District Administration has deployed three Administrative officers headed by Kesonyu Yhomi, IAS SDO (C) to perform magisterial duty to ensure that examination is conducted smoothly and peacefully. At least five security personnel have been placed in each examination centres to provide security to the examination officials and examinees. Elaborate arrangements have also been made to conduct the High School Leaving certificate Examination, 2011, scheduled to be held from tomorrow in 6 centres in Mokokchung district. A total of 1541 candidates will be appearing the HSLC examination 2011. This year candidates belonging to fairer sex outnumbered male candidates by 77. Of 1571, there are 809 female candidates and 732 male candidates.
