Expired goods destroyed at Peren

Peren, September 30 (MExN): Under the aegis of the Chief Medical Officer and the Food Safety Officer (FSO) in collaboration with the District Administration Peren District, along with the Sanitary Inspector and Dobashi and Youth representative Jalukie Town conducted inspection of food businesses at Jalukie town under section 38(1) of the Food Safety and Standards Act (FSSA) 2006 on August 9, 2017. Altogether, six food items were seized from 4 shops as they were sold beyond the “best before dates”. Therefore, exercising Section 38 clause 4 of the FSSA, the seized items were destroyed on September 8 at the Office premises of the Chief Medical Office, New Headquarter, Peren.
