A team comprising of district administration, police force, Mon Town Council, and Mon Town Students’ Union conducted a surprise checking in Mon Town regarding duplicate and expired goods on July 23 and seized a huge cache of expired food items, cosmetics, and drugs.
The defaulters were summoned to ADC HQ and administrator of Mon Town Council. Also, other shopkeepers were warned to keep a distance from such malpractice and dispose any such items on their own, failing which, heavy penalty and legal course of action will be taken. The shopkeepers were also told not to panic, but cooperate during such checking.
The checking was led by Kumar Ramnikant (IAS), ADC Mon HQ, Yanithung Ngullie, EAC Mon, Vrinda Shukla (IPS), SDPO Mon, Lanu Aier (NPS), ASP Mon, and Chingmei Konyak, president MTSU.
