Ri-Bhoi police in Meghalaya recovered a huge cache of explosives from a remote location at Nongspung village bordering Assam on October 20. Confirming this, Superintendent of Police, Nazarius Lamare said that around 129 gelatin sticks and 19 detonators were seized during the search conducted in a forested area. “Based on the information we conducted a search and we dug out the explosives which were hidden beneath the earth. We are conducting further investigations,” Lamare informed.
