F-TEL based guidance centre opened in Dimapur

Dimapur, October 15 (MExN): A Flexible-Technology Enabled Learning (F-TEL) based counseling and guidance centre office was formally opened on October 14 at Nagaland Rashtrabhasha Prachar Samiti (NRBPS), Kashiram, Dimapur by Christian Revival Church-International Chairperson Rev Dr N Paphino. The centre is authorized by the Board of Open Schooling & Skill Education (BOSSE-Sikkim Government).

While opening the centre, Rev Paphino said that F-TEL educational learning facilities would help the community; society and particularly the aspiring Naga youths who want to continue their studies, with job-oriented learning. He further emphasized that in this age of Information & Technological (IT), such flexible learning would help everyone to equip themselves without any barriers of age or class. He also exhorted the participants to be a givers as well as receivers in the field of education and concluded with prayer of blessings for the centre, a press release from NRBPS informed on Friday.

On the occasion Dr BP Philip (Retd Jt Director DSE), stated that the main objectives of opening the centre is to cater service to the drop out school children, whereby a learner can complete 10+2 (secondary & Hr. Secondary) level with vocational course subjects as well Hindi as per the individual aptitude that has flexibility of subject choices, learners can be equipped with skill-based courses so as to find suitable jobs in different sector as per the market demand, at the same time opens way for self-income generating avenues to the unemployed youth. 

He also pointed out that, this will be a centre of counseling and guidance for F-TEL programmes which attempt to integrate world of work with advanced studies right from secondary to university level by utilizing permissible advanced techniques like e-learning, audio, video, lectures, MOOCS (Massive Open Online Courses) and more. The F-TEL system planned is student centric and attempts to harmonize work, study and family life, the release stated.
