A farewell programme for retiring faculty member Sentitola was organised at FAC Mokokchung on May 8.
Mokokchung, May 10 (MExN): The Fazl Ali College (FAC), Mokokchung held a farewell programme for the retiring faculty member Associate Professor and Head of Department for Philosophy Sentitola on May 8.
According to a press release from the Information and Publicity Cell, FAC, Sentitola joined the government service as lecturer in the year 1986 and later became the Head of Department for Philosophy in 2006, serving the college and the state Department of Higher Education for 35 years till her retirement.
Due to the standing order from the district administration restricting mass gathering, the programme were exclusively participated by the Head of Departments only, the release stated.
In her farewell speech, Sentitola acknowledged the college authority for organising the farewell programme and thanked all the faculty, staff and students for their support and encouragement throughout her service. She also expressed gratitude to God for giving her the opportunity to teach and serve at Fazl Ali College.
Asst Prof Dr Adangla Changkija chaired the programme, HoD for Botany Naomi Pongen pronounced the invocation as well as a special prayer for the retiring officer and farewell speeches were delivered by the college Principal, President, FACTA and from the Philosophy Department. HoD for Chemistry I Narola Imchen ended the programme with the benediction prayer, the release stated.
