Longleng, August 28 (MExN): The 12th Battalion NDRF Daimukh, (Arunachal Pradesh) in collaboration with Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority and District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Longleng conducted three days familiarization exercise on disaster management on August 26 to 28.


During the day long programme the team of 20 NDRF personnel led by Inspector Sourah Singh and Sub Inspector /General Duty Sushil Kumar briefly demonstrated on basic steps and techniques of rescue during disaster and also highlighted the safety rules.


Apart from demonstration on disaster Management, the NDRF team explained to the people about disaster preparedness and safety tips to reduce the extent of disaster. The team also gave live demonstration of rescue operation in various techniques, like first aid to injured, fire, earthquake and other natural calamities. Besides students and public, the programme was also attended by officials of the District Administration, NGOs, PPC, PSC, Phomla Hoichems, Chamber of commerce, ward Presidents, LTSU, DEF police,12th IR Chingdok, 2nd NAP Longleng, VGs and officials. The disaster management department familiarization programme was conducted earlier at Public local ground, Yingli College and S.P office in Longleng District Headquarter.
