A family of four was found dead in Dimapur on Saturday. The bodies of the deceased were discovered earlier in the morning today at their house in Khushiabill Block – 3. According to the police, the deceased included the father, mother, son and daughter, who were identified as Lalmia (35), Ashia Begum (30), Amrazul Islam (12) and Rabiza Khatoon (13), respectively. The police said that the family hailed from Lower Assam and was staying as tenants in a plot of land leased to them. The father was a construction worker by profession. The bodies were reportedly found by acquaintances of the family who had come to visit them in the morning. The police said that the bodies of the father, mother and daughter were found in one room, while the son’s body was found in another. The cause of death was yet to be ascertained pending the post-mortem report, the police said.
