Farewell prog for retiring F&CS officers held

DIMAPUR, MAY 2 (MExN): A farewell programme for retiring and outgoing officers of the Directorate of Food & Civil Supplies (F&CS), Dimapur was held on April 30. 

The event was chaired by Lanutoshi Jamir, Joint Director, Food & Civil Supplies and invocation was pronounced by K Ningboi Haolai, Superintendent F&CS.

V Lovitoly Sema, NCS, Director, F&CS stated that “saying goodbye to someone with whom we have worked for so many years is not easy, but farewell speeches are given in order to celebrate and acknowledge the services that they have rendered to the department.” She conveyed gratitude to the retiring officers and Sr. Accounts Officer, F&CS, who is transferred as Sr Treasury Officer Chümoukedima, for the sacrifices and the contribution that they rendered to the department.

I Kiyevi Swu, ADS, Zunheboto on behalf of the district officers mentioned that the retiring officers have been parental figures to the department. He also added that the Additional Director was a very dedicated and committed officer.

Special Numbers were presented by Rebecca Ezung, Sub-Inspector, Phomching and  Guoro Pojar, LDA cum Computer Assistant.

Tohuli Sema, Superintendent, on behalf of the directorate staff as well as on behalf of the F&CS Welfare Association, conveyed her gratitude to all the retiring and outgoing officers.

K Mhonthung,  ADS Wokha & President, Nagaland Food & Civil Supplies Field Staff Association expressed gratitude to the retiring officers for their guidance and wished them good luck in their future endeavors. S Alila Wai, Registrar, F&CS and Hokheto Chishi, Sr Accounts Officer expressed their gratitude for showering them with so much love and appreciation.

Speeches by the outgoing officers were delivered one after another. Temsu Jamir, Additional Director, F&CS shared that the staff of F&CS should work on their assigned duty relentlessly so as to serve the poor and the needy. He also suggested that a ‘Best Performing District Award’ should be established in the department based on certain criteria in order to motivate the district officers.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks from James Khati,  Assistant  Superintendent, F&CS.
