Farewell service held for retiring DEO Kohima

Kohima, September 1 (MExN): A farewell service in honor of the retiring District Education Officer (DEO) Kohima, Y Mary Zhimomi was held on August 30 last at the Conference Hall of DEO Kohima. Zhimomi in the rank of Joint Director, School Education Department Nagaland having served in various capacities took over the charge as DEO, Kohima in the month of October 2018 and on successfully completing 35 years of active service was relieved on superannuation with effect from August 31.

Speaking at the farewell service, Zhimomi encouraged the staff to be sincere, committed, regular and develop a habit to work in the office or be available in their work place and avoid doing office works from elsewhere depending entirely on WhatsApp or internet. 

She wished that everyone stay connected and contribute for the good of the society. Senior HA, Rüükhono Rafela, Supervisor (AE) Hillo Khing and ADC (SSA) Thongsenlo Kath also spoke at the programme. 

Other officers who spoke at the farewell service included Senior SDEO, Kohima Dojü Khate, Deputy Director Chipeni Merry, Assistant Director Kepelhouto Chüsi and Headmistress Kevitsiano Zao. 

Livili Zhimomi, daughter of Mary Zhimomi on behalf of the family acknowledged everyone for honoring her mother in a befitting manner.
