Dimapur, August 26 (MExN): BJP Kisan Morcha Nagaland organised a seminar cum workshop on farm mechanization for farmers on August 23 at Hotel Saramati conference hall here. Maotoshi Longkumer, (Retd) Additional Director, Land Resources speaking as the chief guest said that in Nagaland, almost the entire population is engaged in agriculture and yet, “we fail to use our production as per our requirements and hence, we become dependent on other source.”
Farmers of Nagaland, he stated, should change their mindset and take up farming in a modern and innovative mode for better production and performance. He asked the gathering to uproot all the corruptions from grassroots level in all villages, which will bring development and prosperity in Nagaland state. Resource person Ranjit Kr Singhvi, Secretary, Kisan Morcha BJP Nagaland and Agritech Service proprietor highlighted about machineries helpful in saving time and reducing production cost in large scale.
A fruitful interaction session was also held, according to a press note. The programme was attended by representative AK Mishra, National Executive Member, Kisan Morcha, farmers of Dimapur district under ATMA, BJP Dimapur district, District Presidents BJP Kisan Morcha of Mon, Longleng, Peren and Dimapur, and representative of BJP Nagaland V/P Tsasepie Sangtam.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Khehoto Sema, V/P Kisan Morcha State unit and welcome address was give by Lima Longchar, president, Kisan Morcha BJP Nagaland. Vote of thanks was pronounced by Bendangrenla Imsong, V/P, Kisan Morcha BJP Nagaland.
