From January 2015 till November 2015, various categories of 100 fire/rescue calls have been to responded to by the state’s fire and emergency services and have saved property worth Rs. 1851.10 lakh. This was stated in the annual administrative report 2015-16 of the State Home Department tabled by Home Minister Y. Patton in the just concluded NLA session. The report stated that estimated property lost during this period was Rs. 325.52 lakhs. The report further stated that 9 lives were lost during the period due to fire incidents.
