KOHIMA, AUGUST 25 (DIPR): The PIO of Finance Department, Government of Nagaland, V. Kezo has issued a clarification with reference to allegations made by the ACAUT Nagaland claiming that the Chief Minister had withheld RTI reply information on fund allocation.
The department said that “the conversation referred to took place in the month of July 2017 when the State was in the midst of a political crisis, and the department was struggling to trace files that were in transit as the then Advisor Finance had also demitted office.”
“It is to be clarified that there is no intention on the part of the Department to withhold facts that are on record. Reply to the RTI is ready and will be furnished to the applicants,” it added.
