Mon, December 27 (MExN): 6 houses were burned to ashes after a fire broke out in Khammoi village in Eastern Konyak area on December 26 afternoon. While the exact cause of the fire remains unknown, it was informed that that the occupants of the houses were away thereby, causing no injury or harm. One of the houses reportedly belongs to the treasurer of the Women Department of Khammoi Baptist Church. Five roofs of nearby houses were also dismantled to prevent the fire from spreading further. Khammoi Village is located at the Indo-Myanmar border and is 2 to 3 hours walk from Lungwa in Mon district.
