Mon, December 22 (DIPR): Mon district administration under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Mon, Thavaseelan K, IAS, and supervised by ADC, P. Mono, and Assistant Commissioner Abhinav Shivam, IAS, Mon, conducted a three day long first level checking of EVMs and VVPAT at Mon. The exercise was attended by representatives of BJP, INC and NPF on December 21. Mock poll was conducted where representatives of political parties were invited to mock vote to test the machines that were certified FLC- Ok and updated with ETs application as directed by ECI. They also checked the result of mock poll which were found to be totally accurate.
The First Level Checking (FLC) of EVMs/VVPATs was also conducted on December 22 at Deputy Commissioner Conference Hall, Wokha. The FLC will conclude on December 23. The entire process was done under strict security procedure, where entry pass were issued to authorized personals only to enter the hall/venue. Adequate security arrangement was made under the supervision of the District Election Officer & Deputy Commissioner, Wokha, Dr. Manazir Jeelani Samoon (IAS). Technicians from Bharat Electronic Limited (BEL) conducted the checking process. Around 290 VVPATs were cross checked. Mock drill was also conducted in the presence of political parties like BJP, INC etc. Mention may be made that for the first time VVPATs will be introduced in all the polling stations during the forthcoming Nagaland Legislative Election 2018 under Wokha District.
