Wokha, December 13 (DIPR): First Level Checking of EVMs was conducted on 1December 13 at Deputy Commissioner Conference Hall, Wokha. The checking was conducted under the strict supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Wokha Dr. Manazir Jeelani Samoon (IAS). Security passes were issued to authorized personals only to enter the venue for the checking. Altogether 290 EVMs were checked where four were found defective and in need of replacement. Mock Poll will be conducted on December 14 at DC conference hall, representatives and party officials from three Political parties namely, BJP, NPF and INC were present during the first level checking of EVMs. Later in the day the district also conducted National Quiz 2017-18 under the aegis of Election Commission of India (ECI) students from three schools took part in the competition. The winners will represent the district at the State level competition.
