Kohima, July 28 (MExN): The new office bearers and the frontal chiefs of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Nagaland unit had their first joint meeting in the presence of BJP North East Organising Secretary Ajay Jamwal on July 28 at the party head office in Kohima. It was chaired by the State BJP President Temjen Imna Along.
Ajay Jamwal directed the party to strengthen its organisation at all levels starting from state executives to district to mandal executives and up to local committees, besides the frontals, cells and the departments, stated a press release from K James Vizo, General Secretary, BJP Nagaland.
Jamwal also maintained that BJP is the strongest political party in the country having membership of more than 11 crore and its top priority is ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’ (inclusive growth for all) keeping in mind the basic human requirements such as food, clothing, and shelter.
“Its top priority is to bring development to the unreached grassroots levels without any bias, to all sections of the people in an inclusive manner and it has nothing to do with religion but committed to development agendas only,” he was quoted as saying.
The BJP official further stated that India being a vast country with diverse cultures, the party believes in the slogan ‘Unity in diversity’. “We respect all religions and cultures and together with all, we want to build India into a strong and developed country under the dynamic leadership of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi who has been working hard for 18 hours in a day to fulfil this mission by 2022,” he added.
The BJP State office bearers and the frontal chiefs were also given booklets on achievements of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in four years under Modi to be distributed to imminent personalities of the State within 30 days. They are to submit the completion report of ‘Saaf Niyat Sahi Vikas’ to the head office through the Secretary Organisation Ananta Mishra.
After the meeting, the State president hosted lunch at his official residence in Kohima, which was followed by dedication prayer programme led by Ao Baptist Church Kohima pastor, Tiatoshi Longkumer.
The release informed that on July 27, Jamwal upon his arrival from Guwahati addressed the BJP legislators and on July 28 morning paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Minister of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio at his official residence in Kohima.
