Dimapur, August 17 (MExN): Former Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) and NDPP Advisor W Wangyuh Konyak on Tuesday condemned the suspected grenade attack on an excavator belonging to the 28th Assam Rifle D-Coy at Chen Loisho village in Mon on August 12.
Citing that this was the second time such incident had taken place, the former MP appealed to groups/individuals that the innocent public are the ones facing the brunt of such unwarranted incidents and strongly stated that violence has no place in the society.
“They should also understand that enraging the public and disturbing the peace and tranquility can only lead to more misunderstandings and hamper peaceful coexistence,” he stated.
While condemning the act, the former MP also appealed to any group/individual to refrain from such acts in the future, “before situations get out of hand.”
