
DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 14 (MExN): The All Nagaland Fair Price Shop Association (ANFPSA) on Thursday announced that it will begin its first phase agitation against the Nagaland Government in the form of sit-in-protest on November 26 at the Directorate of Food & Civil Supplies, Dimapur.
This was decided at a joint meeting of Fair Price Shop (FPS) dealers held on November 13 to discuss on the various issue confronting the FPS dealers and the general public (beneficiaries). The FPS is particularly unhappy over the unwillingness of the state government to release the transportation and handling charges which has been kept pending for more than 31 months.
In the event of the state government failing to meet their demand, the FPS will down shutter of all FPS (cease deposit and lifting of essential commodities) as second phase protest, it stated.
Towards this, the FPS dealers have appealed the citizens, village and colony chairman of urban and rural, GBs and the beneficiaries to co-operate and support them.
