
Dimapur, August 6 (MExN): Department of Labour in collaboration with ESIC Regional Office, Guwahati will be conducting awareness programme on employees’ state insurance scheme-cum-free medical health camp and registration drive on August 12 at 11:00 AM at Hotel Acacia, opposite East Police Station, Dimapur.
As per the DIPR report, the Employees’ State Insurance Scheme is a Medical Insurance administered by the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India.
The Employees’ State Insurance Scheme is an integrated measure of social insurance embodied in the Employees’ State Insurance Act and it is designed to accomplish the task of protecting “employees’ as defined in the EMPLOYEES’ State Insurance Act 1948 against the impact of incidence of sickness, maternity, disablement and death due to employment injury and to provide medical care to insured persons and their families.
The ESI Scheme applies to employees in factories and other establishments viz. Road Transport, Hotels, Restaurants, Cinemas, Newspaper, Shops and Educational/Medical Institutions etc., wherein 10 or more persons are employed and the drawing wages up to Rs 21,000 a month.
The Proprietor/Employer of the under mentioned Organisation/Union/Establishment/Institution of Dimapur, Chümoukedima & Niuland districts have been therefore requested to positively attend the Awareness Programme along with 2 (Two) or more employees/workers representatives. Further, a help desk Registration Service will be made available for registration of establishments and employees.

For Registration of establishments: Employer’s PAN card; Employer’s Aadhaar card; Establishments License Certificate; Aadhaar registered mobile no. for OTPs; Employer/establishment bank details
For registration of employees: Employee Aadhaar card; Employee bank details.
