Free medical camp at Yaongyimti (New) village

In a novel venture, doctors, IRCS Mokokchung Branch and well-wishers from Mokokchung town conducted a ‘free medical camp’ at Yaongyimti (New) village here today where more than two hundred villagers availed free medicines and checkups at the village.  

The free medical camp was held under the aegis of Dr Supongmeren and assisted by four doctors – Dr Takosunep, Dr Rachel, Dr Asen and Dr Ayangla Saku.  

Most of the medicines were supplied by the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Mokokchung, Nagaland.  

“It was one of the most successful medical camps ever held, I am happy at the huge turnout,” said Dr Takosunep, who was a part of the team, and who is the Honorary Secretary of the Indian Red Cross Society.  

The Yaongyimti villagers also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and the well-wishers for their concern and held towards the villagers.  

The Mokokchung well-wishers, spearheaded by Imonen Jamir of Sungkomen – collected some amount of money, from within the frinds circle, which was donated to the Yaongyimti (New) villave council, the Yongyimti (N) Baptist Chuch and the Yaongyimti (N) CYE.
