
Our Correspondent Kohima | March 25 Chief Minister Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu on Friday said that three police cases have been registered in connection with the fuel adulteration case. Replying to MLA Mmhonlumo Kikon on the status of the investigation on the fuel adulteration case, Dr. Liezietsu said in the first case, 13 persons were arrested and released on bail pending investigation and 6 persons have been charge-sheeted after investigation. In the second case, 15 persons were arrested during investigation and 8 persons charge sheeted after investigation. In the third case, five people were arrested but investigation could not be completed so far due to absconding of the main accused. Replying to a supplementary question raised by Kikon on whether a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been constituted and if so who were the members, Finance advisor and DAN Chairman TR Zeliang said that SIT has been constituted with Wabang Jamir (IPS) heading the team which includes seven members from Dimapur DEF.
