Kohima, October 5 (MExN): Kohima Police seized 200 kg of contraband ganja worth Rs. 10 lakh in the national market on October 4 around 11:00 pm at Keyakie police check gate. The ganja was seized from a Tata Mobile bearing registration number NL07A-5455 during routine checking and frisking of vehicles, according to a press release from Atu Zumvü, SDPO (South)/ PRO, Kohima Police. Neatly packed in 20 packets, the contraband was found concealed underneath bags of cabbages, it added. In this connection, two persons identified as Suosu Zholia (24) and Dezü Rume (26) were taken into police custody for possession and transportation of the contraband ganja and a regular case vide North P.S Case No. 0073/2016 U/S 20 (b) (ii) (C) NDPS Act was registered against them for conducting further investigation.
