A total of 32,770 beneficiaries in Nagaland are due to receive their second dose and the State’s Department of Health & Family Welfare (DOHFW) has urged them the avail the same at the earliest.
“As their due time of 6 weeks (42 days) — 8 weeks (56 days) is falling between in the month of May 2021. The department also requests other beneficiaries to be responsible citizens to avail their due 2nd dose as and when it comes,” urged State Immunization Officer (SIO) Dr Ritu Thurr, in a press release.
The SIO further informed that vaccination for the eligible citizens will continue during the lockdown and the State Government has exempted them in its order issued on May 11.
The due beneficiaries for 2 dose are requested to carry their registered mobile phone and ID document used while getting their 1st dose, for their verification to police personals, volunteers etc, so that they don't face unnecessary harassment while going for vaccination, he said.
As per Ministry order, priority is being given to 2nd dose beneficiaries so as to get them fully vaccinated and accordingly, inoculation at each COVID Vaccination Centre will go in the 70:30 ratio - 70% booked for 2nd dose & 30% for 1st dose, Dr Thurr further stated.
All beneficiaries who are going for CVC for the vaccination and those who have received their 2nd Dose are requested to follow COVID appropriate behavior, he added.
Just over 52K fully vaccinated so far
