GHS Bayavu annual sports meet ends

Kohima, March 12 (MExN): The annual games and sports meet of Government High School (GHS) Bayavu, Kohima, was conducted from March 10 to 12 at the school campus (for indoor games) and Meriema Village Ground (for outdoor games).

A press release from the school informed that during the GHS Bayavu annual sports meet the students competed in the following disciplines – football (boys), volleyball (women), arm wrestling, carrom board, 100m, 200m, tug of war, two-legged race among the higher classes, and sweet biting, musical chair, and spoon race among the lower sections. The GHS Bayavu Football Trophy, played on the final day, was lifted by Yellow House, with Red House emerging as the runner-up.

The closing ceremony was marked by prize distributions for various games and sports. Acting Head Teacher Kikruneinuo Liezietsu delivered the vote of thanks.
