Successfully running into its fourth consecutive year in Kohima, the Global Leadership Summit (GLS), a summit held via video cast worldwide with renowned leaders around the globe as speakers, is all set to be held on October 13 and 14 at Union Baptist Church, Kohima.

Announcing this at a press conference at UBC, Kohima on Tuesday, Rev. Dr. Rachülie Vihienuo, director of organising team GLS, Kohima, said the summit inspires and equips leaders who are leadership practitioners from different backgrounds including church, business, not-for-profit etc.

Our experience shows that leaders constantly face the need to revitalize their vision, improve the quality of teamwork, increase their job satisfaction, improve their business productivity, or need a greater sense of significance in their personal and professional life, stated Vihienuo.

GLS serves as an oasis for such people because it offers a unique blend of vision, inspiration and practical skills which can be immediately applied in one’s life, he said.

With a desire to help leaders in Kohima conveniently experience this world-class two day leadership event, we are hosting GLS here in UBC for the fourth year on October 13 & 14 from 9AM – 5PM, he added. Four sessions will be held each day including special music, food, and discussions. The registrations fee is Rs.500 till October 1-12 and Rs. 600 at the Conference. The GLS Kohima is targeting 300 delegates this year and is open to all.

The organizers informed that all the speakers will be presented via video-cast on a movie-theatre-sized screen to ensure a high-quality real-time summit experience.

It was learned that GLS Kohima was awarded the “Best Site for Excellence in Facilitation” this year at the main Summit in Willow Creek, Illinois, USA.

The Summit speakers are from diverse backgrounds including Bill Hydels - Founder & Senior Pastor, Willow Creek Community Church; Sheryl Sandberg – Chief Operating Officer Facebook; Bryan Stevenson – Founder & Executive Director, Equal Justice Initiative; Juliet Funt – CEO, Whitespace at Work; Sam Adeyemi – Founder & Senior Pastor, Daystar Christian Centre in Nigeria; Laszlo Bock – Senior Advisor, Google (Best Selling Author); Gary Haugen – Founder & CEO, International Justice Mission; Angela Duckworth – Professor, University of Pennsylvania (Best-Selling Author); Fredrik Haren – Author (Business Creativity Expert) and Andy Stanley – Leadership Author (Communicator and Pastor)   GLS was founded in 1992 by Pastor Bill Hybels, Senior Pastor of Willow Creek Community Church, Illinois, USA.
