Kohima, March 3 (MExN): General Officer Commanding Spear Corps Lieutenant General Rana Pratap Kalita called on Nagaland Governor RN Ravi on March 2 at Raj Bhavan, Kohima.
According to an official release, the General Officer and the Governor discussed the about the security situation in the state as well as on the Indo Myanmar border. The Corps Commander also apprised the Governor of the actions taken up by the Indian Army and Assam Rifles in coordination with state agencies, in maintenance of peace and tranquillity in the state. The Governor appreciated the efforts of the armed forces in spite of difficult conditions and complemented them for their people friendly initiatives.
The GOC assured the Governor of continued assistance of Army and Assam Rifles to the people of Nagaland for achieving lasting peace, development and prosperity.
