GoI showing no interest on demand  for Eastern Nagaland, says ENPO

DIMAPUR, MARCH 11 (MExN): The Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation (ENPO) today stated that there has been “no indication of any interest” by the Government of India on the demand for a separate State of Eastern Nagaland.

A press release from the ENPO media cell informed that a central executive meeting of the ENPO on March 10 resolved “not to extend public co-operation in any national red-letter event henceforth” due to the Government of India’s “lackadaisical treatment.” Further, to intensify and strengthen the movement for statehood demand, it was also resolved to form the Eastern Nagaland Youth Front (ENYF).

While reiterating its full support and co-operation for an early peaceful and long lasting Naga Political solution, the ENPO – CEC meeting resolved that, any solution which may appear to be detrimental to the peace and unity of the people of Eastern Nagaland shall be opposed.
