Governor, Dy CM extend Tsungkamneo greetings

Dimapur, January 15 (MExN): Nagaland and Assam Governor Prof Jagdish Mukhi led the state in extending greetings to the people of Nagaland and the Yimkhiung community on the occasion of Tsungkamneo festival.

“The festival upholds significant traits such as unity, forgiveness, peace and friendship. It is a celebration of love and peace among neighbouring villages and a manifestation of reconciliation of disputes that might exist,” Governor Mukhi said in his message.  

He also urged everyone to celebrate the festival observing every COVID-19 protocol.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton called on the people to take the opportunity to bring “oneness and unity among brothers and sisters to make the festival more memorable and meaningful.”

On behalf of the state BJP legislators, the Dy CM wished for peace and prosperity during the celebrations, a press release from the DY CM’s Media Cell stated.
