Kohima, January 18 (MExN): In accordance with the All India Government Driver’s Federation’s call for a nation-wide “Shanti March”, the All Nagaland Government Drivers Association (ANGDA) undertook a rally in Kohima on January 18 from the association office at Themezie, High School Road, to Nagaland Civil Secretariat.
The ANGDA is demanding creation of one post of Vehicle Inspector in all the Directorates and Deputy Commissioner’s Offices; Scale Pay and Allowances of the Head Drivers to be at Par with Assistant Superintendent Scale in the Directorate; and for Post of the Assistant Transport Officer in the Nagaland Civil Secretariat to be filled up only from the cadre of Government Drivers.
