Govt plans intensive exercise for 100% Aadhaar coverage: Nagaland Chief Secy

Kohima, February 15 (MExN): Chief Secretary, J Alam, IAS, chaired the Administrative Head of Departments and Head of Departments meeting at the Nagaland Civil Secretariat Conference Hall on February 15. 

Addressing the house, the Chief Secretary informed said that the government plans to undertake an intensive exercise to achieve 100% coverage of Aadhaar across the state to enhance service delivery, stated a DIPR report. 

Alam stated that there has been some improvement in attendance but it needed to improve further. He instructed all the AHODs & HODs to ensure strict attendance in their respective offices and to implement the principle of ‘no work no pay’ and to continue to monitor attendance. 

Under e-Office and updating department's websites, J Alam mentioned that e-Office was launched in 2023 on pilot basis in a few departments and the basic module is functioning well. He said that the experience will help in introducing e-Office in more departments. The IT department stated that all websites of the departments stood updated. Chief Secretary exhorted the departments to use the new online platform available at services.nagaland.gov.in for introducing government services in digital mode. 

The Chief Secretary further appealed to the HODs to provide Utilisation Certificate (UCs) on time to avoid negligence of funding and penalty by the Central Ministries. Highlighting that there are around 115 state level and district level Committees for various schemes and programs, he said that all concerned departments should see that meetings are held regularly for better coordination and performance outcome. He also asked all the departments to submit their Annual Reports by February 16 for the Budget Session which will be held on February 26 and leave should not be entertained until the end of the Assembly session. 

Secretary, P&AR, Akunu Meyase informed that the e-vigilance portal integrated with PIMS is ready to go live by 16th February 2024 for its first phase, to be implemented in vigilance and P&AR departments. The portal is expected to be fully live with all the departments onboard by March. She also said with the full implementation of the e-office all circulars and notifications are to be sent to respective departmental emails. 

Speaking on the upcoming Lok Sabha election the Chief Election Officer, Vyasan R, IAS, requested all departmental HODs not to endorse exemptions for the upcoming election and to put extra effort for the requisition of vehicles and sought full cooperation to make the election a success.
