The faculty and staff recruitment is under process for Government Polytechnic Peren and the academic session is scheduled to commence in July-August 2022.
This was stated in the Annual Administrative Report 2021-22 of Technical Education, tabled at the recently concluded 11th session of 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) here.
The report stated that Government Polytechnic Peren was established in March 2021 under the department of technical education, Nagaland. The foundation stone was laid in 2015, and the buildings were completed by 2019. However, due to the pandemic, academic session was delayed.
The Government Polytechnic Peren is the first Polytechnic under the district of Peren and is situated in New Peren. The course selected to be offered in the Polytechnic is 3 years diploma in interior design, the report stated.
