Dimapur, November 3 (MExN): The Government Polytechnic Seithekema C, Dimapur observed the Vigilance Awareness Week from October 27 to November 2.
The weeklong programme was held under the theme ‘Vigilant India Prosperous India’. It was an endeavour to promote integrity, transparency and accountability in public life. It included taking integrity pledge as a citizen as well as an organisation, Er Zhapulhoulie Rupreo, Principal I/C GPSD stated in a press release.
The culmination programme was held through online mode with Joshua Sheqi, Advocate, Gauhati High Court, Kohima Bench as the resource person. Sheqi in his speech enlightened the 80 participants on various section laws to deal with corruption and legal procedures under Indian Penal Code. He encouraged the students to work hard to be successful in life.
It was chaired by Dr Nonlih Chohwanglim, Lecturer GPSD, while welcome address was delivered by Er Zhapulhoulie.
The discussion hour was followed by concluding remarks and vote of thanks pronounced by Imnasangba Jamir, Sr Lecturer, GPSD.
