Singrijan & Khopanala Village team emerged as the overall champion of the 1st annual sports meet of GSUCD.
CHÜMOUKEDIMA, DECEMBER 29 (MExN): The 1st annual sports meet of Gorkha Students' Union Chümoukedima District (GSUCD) meet culminated on December 29 with Kezhawelie Richa, president Chakhroma Students' Union as chief guest, Gopal Lama, president Chümoukedima District Gorkha Union as special invitee and Tezu Pradhan, Head GB Singrijan & Khopanala Village as guest of honor. The sports meet which began on December 27 at Singrijan village ground was hosted by Singrijan & Khopanala Village.
Kezhawelie Richa, while addressing the gathering expressed happiness to see the Gorkhas of Chümoukedima district grow while adding that he is proud to see the contribution of Gorkhas in Nagaland state everywhere he goes.
Gopal Lama, spoke on the growing popularity of sports and encouraged the Gorkhas of Chümoukedima to pursue it professionally aside from studies. Earlier, the programme was chaired by Sushma Chhetri, secretary for Education & Statistical GSUCD, invocation was offered by executive member GSUCD, Jacob Gurung, special performance presented by Singrijan & Khopanala Village, while welcome note was offered by Jacob Sundas, PPesident GSUCD.
