
Kohima, February 28 (DIPR): In keeping with the objective of providing SMART Governance, Nagaland Government has directed all the Administrative departments to ensure posting information of release of funds for all schemes/projects costing more than Rs 25 lakhs (in the state Government Website. A decision to this effect has been taken in the meeting of the Executive Council headed by Governor K. Sankaranarayanan on February 21.
Principal Secretary & Finance Commissioner, H.K. Khulu in an office memorandum said that the information should be posted in the state Government website on quarterly basis during the financial year. Khulu also said that the information to be posted should contain the name of the project/ scheme, the source of funding, total cost of the scheme/project as per original sanctioned estimates indicating the date of original estimates, cost as per revised estimates indicating also the date of the revised estimate, amount of expenditure sanctioned in the current quarter and name(s) of contractors/suppliers to whom the current payment is released.
A format indicating the information to be posted on the website has also been issued to all departments for guidance. Stating that the decision was taken to provide smart Governance and transparency, the Finance Commissioner directed all departments to ensure strict compliance.
