Health and Medical awareness camp at Tamlu

Tamlu, September 21 (DIPR): Health and Medical awareness camp on ‘Adolescent and Health’ was conducted at Christian School Tamlu for the students of Government High School and Christian School of Tamlu Town under Longleng district on September 20. More than 250 students attended the programme and availed the facilities.  

Tamlu Sub-Division Administration and Mobile Medical Unit (MMU), Community Educational Centre Society (CECS) jointly organized the program. Nukshimatong, Extra Assistant Commissioner, Tamlu launched the programme. He enlightened about the importance of health and hygiene in our daily life. Dr. Bendangkokba Alinger spoke on “Adolescent and Health”. S. Limawapang, Coordinator MMU elucidated the students on Depression among the youth in today’s society and its evil effects. Shaophen Phom, Head Master, Christian School was the moderator for the camp. MMU is a project of CECS supported by the Hans Foundation and it works for Rural Health Care.  

It may be mentioned here that this was the first of its kind organized for the welfare of the students’ community in Tamlu Sub division.
